Organisations acquire and distribute BowTie Risk through Apple's Apps and Books workflow. Apps and Books distributes the app itself, which is free. Once it is on a device, each user subscribes to Premium inside the app to remove the diagram limit and unlock the full feature set. Premium is not purchased centrally on one organisational invoice.

Security & Data

Keep control of your risk information

BowTie Risk works offline. Organisations retain control of where assessment files are stored and shared.

✓Assessment files are stored locally or in storage locations selected by the organisation.
✓No BowTie Risk account is required, so there are no user accounts for IT to create, manage or remove. We operate no server that holds assessment content.
✓Apple and RevenueCat support subscription-related functions but do not receive risk assessment content.
✓The AI Assistant does not connect to any AI service. It prepares text for the user to copy into an AI tool of their organisation's choosing, so nothing is sent unless a user chooses to send it.
✓Suitable for organisations that require controlled storage and offline operation.
✓BowTie Risk is developed in Australia. Procurement and security enquiries are answered directly by the engineers who develop the software.

How do we purchase BowTie Risk for our organisation?
BowTie Risk is available through Apple Business Manager and Apple School Manager, allowing organisations to acquire and distribute the app through Apple's Apps and Books workflow. The app itself is free; each user then subscribes to Premium inside the app. Premium is not purchased centrally on one organisational invoice.
Does one subscription cover Mac, iPad and iPhone?
No. The Mac app and the iPad and iPhone app are separate App Store apps with separate subscriptions. A subscription to one does not unlock the other.
Can BowTie Risk be deployed through Apple Business Manager and MDM?
Yes. BowTie Risk can be deployed through Apple Business Manager using compatible MDM platforms such as Jamf and Microsoft Intune.
Where is risk assessment data stored?
BowTie Risk works offline. Assessment files are stored locally on the device or in storage locations selected by your organisation. BowTie Risk does not operate a cloud service for assessment content.
